After the success of Touchstone Pictures, the Walt Disney Company expanded further into the adult-oriented film market with the creation of Hollywood Pictures in 1989. The label produced some huge hits for the company, but was dissolved with little explanation in the 2000s. In this video, we explore the history of Hollywood Pictures, and why, despite releasing one of Disney's biggest hits ever, the film label was put to rest in 2007.
