Wisteria - this genus of plants is native to China, Japan, and Korea. There is also a species native to the Eastern US, however that species is not causing problems like the Asian species that have caused much damage to ecosystems to which they do not belong.

Invasive plants not only out-compete native plants, but they don't support as many insects as natives, leading to decreases in food sources for other animals.

If you can keep these out of your yard and keep natives in, that is one of the best things you can do to support healthy ecosystems.
