After 4 years of uploading Killing Floor 2, it's finally time for some KF1 gameplay. I wanted to do this as the channel is exclusive to Killing Floor, and with my robust portfolio of KF2 videos and plans to play and stream KF3 in the future, the first game in the series was missing from the channel. In this video, I am playing the Sharpshooter perk.

The Sharpshooter perk in Killing Floor 1 is tailored for players who prefer precision and long-range combat. This perk focuses on high-damage, accurate weaponry to efficiently eliminate enemies from a distance. Sharpshooters specialize in using rifles, crossbows, and pistols, gaining increased damage, reduced recoil, and improved accuracy with these weapons. The perk also provides a significant increase in headshot damage, encouraging players to aim for the head to maximize their effectiveness. In addition to enhanced damage, Sharpshooters benefit from faster reload times, which is crucial for maintaining a steady rate of fire during solo encounters. Reduced recoil makes it easier to land consecutive shots on target, further enhancing their combat efficiency. Players also receive an increased ammo capacity for their Sharpshooter weapons, ensuring they can sustain their firepower for longer periods without needing to resupply.

In a solo environment, it's important to focus on precision and consistent, high damage output to handle enemies efficiently from a distance. The ability to quickly eliminate threats helps in managing ZEDs and maintaining control over the flow of enemies. By focusing on key targets, Sharpshooters can reduce the risk of being overwhelmed. This perk is suitable for players who prefer a methodical approach to combat, focusing on accuracy and high-impact shots to manage encounters. In this video I have switched to Support Specialist for Patriarch in order to utilise the colossal damage of the AA12 and finish after the stagger with the Combat Shotgun.

KF-Farm Killing Floor 1 is an open field of eerie rural isolation. Set in a dark, foggy countryside dotted with decrepit barns, run-down farmhouses and overgrown fields, the map carries an open sense of danger with ZEDs closing in at 360°. With no consistent choke points and the darkness of the night, you are surrounded from all angles. The environment is shrouded in an ominous fog that limits visibility, heightening the tension and suspense as players navigate the open terrain and tight interiors. The ambient sounds immerse players in the haunting rural setting, creating a uniquely unsettling experience that challenges players' survival instincts.

Farm is particularly known among Killing Floor 1 players as an excellent map for the Sharpshooter perk due to its extensive open spaces and long sight lines. These features allow the Sharpshooter to maximize effectiveness, picking off enemies from a distance. The wide-open fields provide clear lines of sight, making it easier to spot and eliminate threats before they can close the distance. Additionally, the long stretches between structures enable Sharpshooters to maintain optimal firing positions without being quickly overwhelmed by the horde. This combination of open terrain and plenty of opportunities for long-range engagements makes Farm a favoured choice for players looking to leverage the Sharpshooter's strength as a mid to long-range sniper. Just watch out for the corn fields as Crawlers and Sirens can blend in quite well and sneak up on you.

The Single Piston Longmusket and the Lever Action Rifle form an optimal weapon loadout for my playstyle and preference on long-range maps in Killing Floor 1. The Single Piston Longmusket, with superior accuracy, high damage per shot, and a snappy mag reload excels at taking down high-priority targets from a distance, making it ideal for picking off key threats before they can close in. Complementing this, the Lever Action Rifle offers a reliable, fast-firing option for medium to long-range encounters, allowing players to handle waves of lesser enemies without sacrificing precision. This combination ensures that Sharpshooters can maintain their critical role of thinning out enemy numbers from afar, leveraging both pinpoint accuracy and sustained firepower to dominate expansive maps.
