Kentucky Kingdom and Hurricane Bay, Located in Louisville Kentucky is a park that has had a pretty rough path to travel throughout it’s 34 year history. Opened in 1987, the park went bankrupt and closed after just one season. Was reopened again in 1990 under Businessman Ed Hart, who sold the operating rights to Six Flags in 1998. Then the park was closed once again in 2009 after Six Flags declared bankruptcy, in 2014 the park was reopened under Ed Hart for the 3rd and hopefully final time. And just this year, the operating rights to the park were again sold, this time to Herschend Family Entertainment who operate Dollywood and Silver Dollar City, as well as the Harlem Globetrotters among other things. Today I'll be giving my review of Kentucky Kingdom, the good, the bad, and hopefully give you some idea of what to expect if you decide to come here.
