The convertible top on a FIAT 500c is unlike the convertibles we are used to here in the U.S. Chances are you have only seen this type of convertible if you are familiar with French movies from the 60's directed by people with names you cannot pronounce. The base price on the FIAT 500 Abarth Cabrio is $26,000.

Unlike a standard convertible, the FIAT 500c's cloth roof slides back to leave the side pillars and door frames in place. The cabrio can be opened in 3 ways offering a sunroof effect, a panoramic sunroof, and a completely open setting which folds the top into the trunk. The FIAT will automatically stop the roof at any of the 3 various positions.

Like most convertibles, the FIAT 500 Cabrio's cloth top takes up much of the available trunk space. When you have a car as small as the FIAT 500c to begin with, that is quite a big problem. If you want to put anything in the trunk, the FIAT 500c top will automatically close itself.
