While the topic of this video centers around the belief in Mary's perpetual virginity, the primary focus should be more on the #methodologies employed that lead people to this #understanding. Namely the overestimation of #extrabiblicaltexts, the misplaced authority in the writings of the #earlychurchfathers and a willingness to read #biblical support for #theological points that the #Bible doesn't teach.

I really worked hard to represent this #view well, not bash anyone who holds this #belief, and simply make a case for what I believe on the topic. I would like to make a note that it isn't strictly #Catholics that hold a view in the perpetual virginity of Mary but it is their specific methodologies that I'm ideologically against and their source material that I drew from. This wasn't in an effort to be intellectually dishonest or to hate on Catholics by any means, but they do champion this view strongly. In my estimation - too strongly for something that isn't biblically necessary.
