The first step of the Model build workflow in KOMVOS is bringing the CAD data into the CAE environment. This is accomplished by reading the CAD structure that is extracted from a PDM system, performing any necessary modifications, and "translating" it to a CAE-Structure.
Afterward, the creation of the CAE sub-assemblies that consist of parts structured hierarchically, which are also known as Subsystems, takes place.

KOMVOS offers the functionality to import a product structure from a PDM system automatically, visualize its content, and extract all information regarding the product tree structure and the part attributes.

This video showcases all the steps, from importing a CAD structure up to the creation of a Subsystem and a Simulation Model (i.e. a collection of Subsystems and/or Library Items) in KOMVOS.
