The Half Island Point Trail branches off the rail-trail called the Atlantic View Trail in Lawrencetown, on the eastern shore of Nova Scotia. The trail is very easy, but was very muddy. Waterproof shoes are recommended.

This trail winds along some cliffs that are being eroded by the ocean. If you are planning on hiking the Half Island Point trail, do it soon! There are portions of this trail that could literally disappear on the next big storm event. If you plan on exploring this trail with dogs or small children (or unpredictable adults!) please use extreme caution. In some places, it would be VERY easy to fall off the cliffs.
