My 2000 2nd Gen Ram diesel is finally getting the transmission it has been craving for over 2 decades. The 47RE has been modified (built) with torque enhancing upgrades that has mostly survived the stresses of racing in past years, but the money flow to keep this going over the long haul is unending. But actually it IS ending with the swapping of a built Allison 1000 6 speed by CA Conversions, which finally matches the capacity of the 5.9 Cummins with 2 or 3 times the torque of the stock rating. This will detail the entire procedure to guide anyone else on a similar mission.
