2023 marks the first time Mattel has ever integrated die-casts from the Cars Toon (Mater's Tall Tales) shorts into the mainline. While 'Tokyo Mater' is the only short featured this year, this is significant for price, availability and distribution. Drift Party Mater, Ito-San and Patokaa are available as singles in 2023 Singles Case G along with Kelly Beambright, Road Rumbler Lightning McQueen and Pitstoposaurus. All of which are new made-in-Thailand variants.
