Production of diamonds in New South Wales has been estimated to be over half a million
carats, with most production in the late 1800s and early
1900s. There is excellent potential for primary (hardrock) diamond deposits and for the delineation of more alluvial deposits. There are clear indications that alluvial diamonds, have been found in
significant quantities.
On my second day prospecting for gold in regional NSW I uncovered a very clear stone or potential diamond along with a good quantity of gold. I also find old relics and history of the miners of early settlement days. Join me on another awesome underwater adventure!!
