Dae Jang Geum, also known as Jewel in the Palace, is a 2003 South Korean historical drama television series directed by Lee Byung-hoon and performed by Lee Young-ae.
 
The drama series was later exported to over 90 countries, and is known as one of the primary forces behind the Korean Wave after contributing to the spread of Korean culture abroad.
 
The series tells the tale of an orphaned kitchen cook, Jang Geum, who went on to become the King's first female physician. It praises the exquisite humanity of the protagonist and the strength of her female spirit. 
 
The actors and actresses wear traditional South Korean costumes and sing the tune “Onara”, the theme song for Dae Jang Geum. While the song is sung in both Korean and Chinese, the actors also perform the elephant hat dance, which is their representative dance, displaying the rich culture of the Korean people. 

《大长今》是2003年韩国历史连续剧，由李丙勋导演执导，李英爱饰演。全球超过90个国家播出此剧，在世界各地传播韩国传统文化，并掀起了韩流。
 
女主角长今从宫廷中御膳房的小宫女最终成为了第一位皇帝的女性主治医官。剧目讴歌了人性的光辉与女性的力量。
 
演员们身着韩国传统服饰，哼唱着《大长今》的主题曲《呼唤(ONARA)》。伴随着韩文与中文双语的歌声，跳着传统的象帽舞，表现出浓郁的韩国风情。
