Daughter called me with an issue, AC is running but not cooling. Looking outside, I found the compressor and fan wasn't running. Replaced the capacitor and contactor. This resolved the issue and saved her $300-500. This is a pretty easy fix but ensure you follow all safety precautions. Ensure to pull the outside fuse or breaker for the compressor and make sure you discharge the old capacitor by crossing all connections with a rubber handled screwdriver.
