Sanjay Dubri Tiger reserve is located in Sidhi district of Madhya Pradesh. One of the least explored Tiger Reserves, it has a great potential in terms of cradling a safe haven for tigers and tourism. However, the greatest drawback of the reserve is that it still has many many villages inside the core and on the periphery. The villages are big having population of about 5000 people. Though the Forest Department is labouring very hard to relocate and rehabilitate people, but it is a mammoth task taking into consideration the size of the villages.

There is a constant hanging sword over the present tiger population as Human animal conflict is a daily affair here. 80% of the prey base of the tigers here is cattle!!
