Tyrone faced a traumatic experience that caused a shock to his heart. After being diagnosed with advanced heart failure, he was told he had six months to live. He had a HeartMate 3 heart pump implanted to help improve his quality of life and life expectancy. Tyrone received a heart transplant in January 2021 and is no longer on pump support.
