In this video we discuss the latest changes regarding the residency process in Paraguay. Now two trips will be needed, while the special investigation that is holding back many cédulas (ID cards) carries on.

The old format of the ID card is no longer available, making it necessary to opt for the new one which can only be obtained after receiving the residency card. This means that, for most people, two trips will be necessary to complete the whole procedure.

Luckily, with the new process and the new format, the applications are being processed quite quickly and it shouldn't take long before the processing times get back as they were before the special investigation.
