Most of University of Kigali's students were born after the genocide and had to visit the Centre to obtain first-hand information.
Secondly, University of Kigali has multinational staff and students and the visit helped non-Rwandan staff and students to understand as well as appreciate the value of the peace and unity Rwandans have built over the past 28 years.
