Recorded at the sold out Alberta Rose Theatre in Portland, Oregon on 18th February 2024 this is Jarrod Lawson with Funkadelic's 'I'll stay'.
This song has a few cover notable covers (including Roy Hargrove & D'Angelo) but the song originally started out in Detroit as 'I'll wait' released on Pat Lewis and also The Parliaments (Clinton's original doo-wop band).
This version featuring the excellent Noah Simpson on trumpet is sublime. Check out the trumpet solo. Just brilliant.
