In this week's episode, the focus is on camera lenses and which three I would choose to take to my next wedding if I were limited to only that many. I have 8 lenses in my gear bag for any job or wedding that I photograph. All of those are listed down below along with links to learn more about each but the truth is I love to have options available. Some lenses get used way more often than others and some I prefer to use more over others but each one has a purpose and will help give me through any situation that I find myself in. So which 3 would I take??

For weddings, versatility is key. That lead me to my first selection...the 24-70 2.8 from Sigma. This wide to medium telephoto lens is, IMHO, an absolute staple and workhorse for wedding photographers. It offers us the ability to be the most flexible in a moments notice. The fast 2.8 aperture throughout the focal range is extremely helpful in that it allows consistent exposure as you change focal lengths. The Sigma Art line has impressive build quality as well as image quality and is much more affordable than a GM lens. It might not be my favorite lens, but it's probably the most important.

My second choice would be something on the longer side that could compliment the 24-70 range and get me more reach. That lead me to choosing the Sigma 135mm 1.8 Art. This lens is just a beast. It produces beautiful bokeh and a truly flattering compression effect for portraits. It isolates subjects so well at wider apertures and gives us the ability to capture moments more candidly. Again, impressive build quality and image quality. Sigma never disappoints.

Finally, my third lens choice would be the Sony Zeiss 55 1.8. This focal length most closely approximates the field of view of the human eye, resulting in images that appear most similar to how we perceive scenes in real life. There is minimal distortion and the lens is super small and light weight. It's also versatile in that you can still capture candids or more environmental portraits but also get in up-close or even shoot groups as well.

So those are my thoughts on which 3 I would choose from the 8 that I have. What 3 would you choose to take?? Comment down below and let us know!
