Before Michael Jordan became a champion and a legend, he was Air Jordan - the most spectacular player we will ever see. In this early Rookie game he would face Dr. J in his twilight and another sensational rookie - Charles Barkley. In addition to Julius Erving, the Sixers were loaded with even more awesome legends like Moses Malone and Maurice Cheeks and would go on to win 58 games that year. But MJ as usual stole the show with his incredible athletic abilities as a young pup.

In this game, MJ scored a 'modest' 31 on 9-16 shooting and grabbed 6 boards and dished 5 assists. But the Air Jordan show was in full form with one jaw-dropping move after another. This was an era when MJ would produce so many moves, one game would fill an entire night's worth of highlights - whether he scored 10 points or 50 points. As Magic said, "Even if he scored just one bucket, it could be the most amazing move you'd ever seen and you'd jump out of your seat in disbelief."
