Arguably the most dangerous descent through hills for trucks in any Australian capital city, the Adelaide Hills are a massive challenge of trucks drivers skill and patience as they make their way into the South Australian capital.
There has been countless accidents on this section of the South Eastern Freeway as these drivers need to negotiate a descent of nearly 8 kilometres using only the correct gear selection to slow them down. They can't rely on their brakes as they will burn out if used to slow down these huge rigs!
