Please note this series of videos was originally created for a paid program that is no longer being offered. The Posture Workout Facebook community that is referred to in the video is also no longer active. I have made these videos available to the public here in my channel for the benefit of anyone who is interested in tools for improving posture.

The structures of the pelvis, spine, and shoulder girdle function together as a unit. When we sit for extended periods of time, the pelvis and spine lose their ability to move through a full range of motion and subsequently the shoulders also lose their ability to function properly. In this month’s routine we are targeting the entire unit of the pelvis, spine, and shoulders!

The natural position of the spine is supposed to look like the letter “S”. When we sit, the spine begins to lose its natural curvature and in many cases begins to look more like the letter “C”. Think about it, you first began sitting when you entered grade school at approximately age 5. These dysfunctions have taken a lifetime to create, therefore will take some time to undo.

This series of exercises will begin to restore the natural “S” curve of the spine. We are taking a total body approach by re-positioning the pelvis AND shoulders along with the spine. In this sequence of exercises we are also strengthening the body in this new and improved position.
