Destruction Derby 2 is the second instalment in the Destruction Derby series. It was first released in 1996 for the PC/MS-DOS, and then released on PlayStation on November 1996 for NA, January 1997 for the EU and February 1997 in Japan. It was developed by Reflections and published by Psygnosis.

Unlike the first game in the series, each championship consists for 4 divisions, with five drivers in each and depending on what division you are in determines your starting position on the grid. Unlike the first game, roof colour does not denote which division you are in.

Many improvements were added, with the ability to flip and roll your vehicle and a nice variety of faster, wider circuits with jumps.

There are a total of 7 tracks and 4 bowls;

Tracks:
Pine Hills Raceway - Division 4 & 2.
Chalk Canyon - Division 4, 3 & 1.
Caprio County Raceway - Division 4 & 3.
SCA Motorplex - Division 4, 3 & 2.
Black Sail Valley - Division 3, 2 & 1.

SCA Ultimate Destruction - Division 1.

Bowls - Wrecking Racing Mode:

Stock Car Championship is contested over four main race circuits with 3 others being unlocked as you progress through the divisions.

Wrecking Racing is similar to Stock Car mode but needing to score points by wrecking other opponents.

Spinning an opponent's car 360° - 50 points*
Wrecking an opponent's car - 25 points*
*Spinning or wrecking the lead car rewards double points.

A driver can score a maximum of 999 points, but the AI don't usually score above 300. Points are not rewarded depending on finishing position.
