The No. 17 Louisville Cardinals played suffocating defense as they picked up their 1,000th program win with a 61-44 win over the Duke Blue Devils. Jeff Walz's defense held Duke to just 33% shooting, including 2-19 from three-point range. The Cards scored 27 points off of 27 Duke turnovers and gave up only 4 points to the Blue Devils in the 2nd quarter. Kiki Jefferson led the way for the Cardinals with 15 points, 4 rebounds and 2 steals while Olivia Cochran added 13 points on 6-11 shooting in the win.
