Bukowski's life was rife with struggle, both external and internal, and his story is a refreshing account of a successful literary career outside of the highbrow literary culture. Charles Bukowski was the average man's poet, talking about the struggles of average life, the exhausting, tormenting realities of just trying to get by in this live.
