Playing with short pips does not mean being passive, on the contrary, you should play aggressively and use all the good properties that short pips bring.

Since short pips do not have a grip like inverted rubbers, the movement is a little different and you don't achieve as much rotation as with inverted rubbers, but that's why the second ball can be attacked very quickly and the ball "pulls down" while going fast. That ball is quite difficult to control and that's how short pips should be used.


Igrati sa softom (eng. short pips) ne znači biti pasivan, naprotiv treba igrati agresivno i koristiti sva dobra svojstva koja donosi soft.

Pošto soft nema grip kao obične (eng. inverted rubbers) gume pokret je malo drugačiji i ne postiže se tolika količina rotacija kao sa običnim gumama ali zato druga lopta može da se napadne jako brzo i da se da lopta koja "vuče na dole" a pri tom da ide brzo. Ta lopta je dosta teška za kontrolu i tako i treba da se koriste soft.
