It was my second time here at Festival Teluk Jailolo. I have to say that it has improved a lot from the last time I came at 2012. However, It could be much better in the next coming years.

As a diver, I knew what I wanted to do here either they are having a festival or not: to dive! But as a regular tourist, it think the festival was rather difficult to enjoy. I didn't see any tourists holding a schedule handouts, or map to locate the festival's attractions. I was thinking how come they didn't have it?? How they gonna enjoy this event?? Because as a journalist, I got lost too!

Another thing bothered me was the readiness of the local people of this event to show their culture and wisdom to the world. It was often I saw piles of trash everywhere, inside and outside the event area, without any concern from anyone. It seemed that no one think it was wrong to just throw the trash anywhere they liked. Really, It wasn't a pleasant sight to see.

I wish they would improve much better in the future regarding those two matters. Because I have high hopes in this event and Jailolo.

Nonetheless, everything was redeemed by the friendliness of the people, the magnificent beauty of Jailolo, and their exceptional traditional culture. Like the story I featured here in this video: Sasadu On the Sea.

Everyone who was involved in the making of Sasadu On The Sea has showed their passion and was all in to this main attraction. I must say Sasadu On The Sea was a world class performance. And Im glad that I had the opportunity to watch it by myself.
