Brian Mutton (1939 - 2024) was a Northamptonshire Art Teacher and Artist. Like many art teachers Brian found scant time to work on his own painting. After taking early retirement he decided to build his own studio at the bottom of his garden in Northampton. Brian started to exhibit his art, often based on stone quarries, dilapidated buildings and he also experimenting in relief sculpture. His first one person show came in 2001 at the yarrow gallery. This film was made to celebrate his second show at the gallery six years later. A retrospective exhibition of his work is planned for 2026 at Northampton Museum and Art Gallery
