In a joint appearance on a TV show, BSW chair Sahra Wagenknecht accused the AfD and its co-leader Alice Weidel of insufficiently distancing themselves from the controversial Thuringian AfD leader Björn Höcke. The far-right wing of the AfD under Höcke has become “increasingly strong and powerful” in recent years, said Wagenknecht on Wednesday evening on the “Welt” channel. She added in the direction of Weidel: “I think it's a problem that at some point you stopped fighting these people and instead came to an arrangement with them.”
