16 slices white bread, crust removed
3 slices bacon, cooked
1 cup chopped ham
1 large onion, chopped
1-2 bell peppers, chopped
2-3 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Egg mixture...
6 eggs
1 1/2 tsp dry mustard
1 1/2 tsp worcestershire sauce
3 cups milk
a few dashes of tabasco
Next day....
1/2 cup butter, melted
cornflakes to top
Arrange 8 slices of the bread in the bottom of a greased 9x13 pan. Top with bacon, ham, onion, pepper and cheese. Top with remaining 8 slices of bread and pour the egg mixture over the top covering all the bread.
Cover and refrigerate overnight or for 8-10 hours.
Melt the butter and pour overtop the bread. Top with cornflakes.
Bake at 350 F for 1 hour or until browned and bubbly. Wait 10 minutes before serving.
This recipe doubles well and freezes well after cooked.
