Banquiao, a suburban town of Taipei, has an excellent historic site called The Lin Family Mansion and Garden, which were created by wealthy merchant family in the late 19th century. The garden is open to the public and visitors stroll the garden as if they time slipped to the era of Qing Dynasty.
