1/ 2 cup butter
2 cups heavy whipping cream
1 clove garlic
3/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning (optional)
1/4 teaspoon Kosher salt (not table salt)
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 cups Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese

1. Melt butter in a pan over medium heat.
2. Add cream and stir until melted and well combined.
3. Add garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
4. Bring the mixture to a simmer (not a boil), allowing it to bubble around the edges for 3-4 minutes, stirring constantly until it starts to thicken.
5. Stir in Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
