Watch the Juvenile Welfare Board’s Annual KidsFirst Awards Luncheon…Imagine!

Last year, JWB celebrated our 75th Anniversary, marking the milestone of our nation’s first independent board enacted to guard the rights and needs of children. And it’s hard to imagine where our county would be today had it not been for courageous leaders and citizens who had the foresight to tax themselves to improve children’s futures.

An iconic anniversary, like our 75th, gave us a unique vantage point. It allowed us the chance to look back and acknowledge our Legacy of Leaders – and look ahead to imagine a more hopeful future for our county’s children and their families.

JWB’s annual impact budget of $93 million strengthened the lives of more than 64,000 children and families last year. Plus, thousands more benefited from collective efforts to address childhood hunger, grade-level reading, and preventable child deaths.

As we look ahead, we believe that if you can imagine it, you can achieve it…and our work is a testament that this mantra is alive and well at JWB and our partner agencies.
