I have discussed this issue with Roger from FCD. I spoke to him before this video completed the upload. If you have this issue he WILL make it right.

Roger from FCD is my friend. If you are here to talk crap about him I won't be kind in return.

I have observed this issue from EVERY well known brand. That's why I said in the video that it's not a big deal. I have also observed many other issues with gas blocks from every well known brand. Based on my experience in the gun business, price has very little to do with QC. People just can't seem to grasp that no matter what problems I come across and share. If you are shocked by better brands or cheaper brands having issues on this channel then you haven't been paying attention. If you are here to throw rocks, you are going to be disappointed in the response.

Here is my approach.

Everything sucks until it proves otherwise.

If a person is an auto mechanic they should have the proper tools to do work on vehicles. They should know how to inspect and install parts as well and in some cases fit those parts. If they dont they shouldn't be working on vehicles.

The same applies to those who work on guns. They should have some basic tools to do the job properly. For set screw gas blocks installs this includes a torque wrench/driver, bore scope, measuring instruments, various bits for the torque tool, some taps/proper tap fluid, gas block jig, punches, hammer, torch, laser thermometer, and the equipment to dimple a barrel if none is present on the barrel.

If someone does not have the proper tools they should acquire them or find someone who does. If someone does not have the right tools it's unlikely they know what should be checked.
