►The cabin air filter might seem like an insignificant part of your car, but it plays a huge role in making sure your Volvo P3 is being supplied fresh air to the cabin. Due to exhaust gases coming from the vehicle in front, the air at the center of the roadway is up to six times more polluted than at the side of the road. With the innovative CareMetix cabin filter, the vehicle cabin remains almost entirely free of fine particulates, tire debris, brake dust, and exhaust gases. The S5 broadband technology also protects against micro-particulates and diesel soot—all of which helps to preserve the sensitive components in the HVAC system from premature wear.

There may be more steps than a traditional cabin filter replacement in this DIY, but our Volvo Catalog Manager, Adam Goral, is here to walk you through the steps needed. While he's at it, he goes through some tricks along the way like removing the ECU housing and some fuse boxes to allow for easier access during the job.
