On 26 May 2024, an emergency landing was conducted by the pilot of a Cessna 210 (VH-MYW) at Sydney Bankstown Airport, Australia, with the malfunctioning aircraft skimming over homes and warehouse roofs after losing power.

Unable to reach the main runway, the pilot of the slow and low flying aircraft elected to force land on a nearby taxiway narrowly avoiding the roofs of adjacent buildings.

The aircraft skidded on its belly for a short distance before coming to a halt adjacent to parked aircraft.

Both occupants managed to exit the aircraft with no apparent injuries.
