Music written by Don Robertson with lyrics by Hal Blair. Robertson's wife, singer Lucille (Lou) Dinning, is also listed on the writing credits, but it's unclear if she contributed to the music, lyrics or both. The song was originally submitted to Elvis Presley, who never recorded it. Della Reese, however, did release a fine version of it in 1960 which earned a gold record. A small handful of other recording artists have released renditions of it, but Perry Como wasn't among them. While it's surprising Como never recorded a studio version of this song for any of his albums or singles, at least there exists this rare 1959 live version from his TV show.
