This April, we went on a wildflower tour and tried out three hikes in the with the goal of spotting wildflowers. Each of these hikes were short and could be done in just a few hours. We took our time, took plenty of photos, and really enjoyed the spring wildflowers. Here are the hikes:
1. Sauer's Mountain - This hike is just a few miles outside Leavenworth, about a two hour drive from Seattle.
2. Homestead Trail and Old Ranch Loop - This is a shared mountain bike trail, with plenty of long views out across Wenatchee and Cashmere, only about 15 minutes drive from Wenatchee.
3. Whiskey Dick Wildlife Area - located off I90 outside of Ellensburg, this is a great trail if you're looking for a stop to stretch the legs on a road trip. Whether you want to hike for one mile or 30, this trail is great!
