In this video we will see how to make Sponge Cake Recipe in Tamil. This basic vanilla sponge cake is quite easy to make and can be made both in oven and without oven in pressure cooker. This sponge cake is the first basic step into the world of baking. This cake can also be used for building fancier cakes. A perfect cake should be soft and spongy, it should not be too dry and have sufficient moisture on it. For baking the cake in pressure cooker, I have added salt at the bottom of the cooker to retain and distribute the heat evenly. Sand can also be used for this purpose but salt is more hygienic.
