Celebrity chef Martin Yan '73, M.S. ’77 returned to UC Davis on Saturday, September 30, 2023 to give a live cooking demonstration and discuss his life and career.

As host of the long-running public television show "Yan Can Cook", Chef Yan traveled around the world as an ambassador for Chinese food and culture.

The event celebrated Chef Yan’s gift of his collection of nearly 3,000 cookbooks, thousands of photographs and other media to the UC Davis Library.
