Stereo Compression, whether used on individual sounds, auxiliary busses or at the stereo output stage, can often work beautifully for dynamics processing. But sometimes - usually on the output mix bus - the dynamics needs of the low end might differ significantly from those in the mid-range or treble. Whenever you want to break a mix down into its component frequency areas and compress them separately, you'll benefit from using Multiband Compression - and this week's episode is dedicated to Logic's Multipressor. Jono is taking a deep dive to see which parameters are available to each band and how they can benefit your mix. It's tutorial time. Grab the drink of your choice... and a biscuit or two.
