February 29, 2024
Little Moreton Hall is an impressive, wonky moated half-timbered Tudor house in the south-west of Congleton in Cheshire, UK.
Earliest parts build for landowner William Moreton in 1504.
Completed around 1610.
Adding the Long Gallery without provision caused so much of the current wonky appearance of the house.
It remained in the Moreton family for almost 450 years.
It was trasferred to the National Trust in 1938.
Little Moreton Hall, a rare surviver of the Tudor times.
Definitaly worth a visit.
