It's #factoryfriday and #eglomise is a #craftsmanship techinque that not many have seen. It is the process of carefully applying both a design and #gilding onto the rear face of glass to produce a mirror finish. The name is derived from a 18th century French decorator, Jean Baptise Glomy, who was responsible for its re-popularization. The materials and technique we use are the exact same as Glomy developed. Since the process is very delicate, we protect the back to avoid any scratching or damage from behind. This process can be applied to many types of items from mirrors, table tops, desk, etc, as it is just applied to a piece of glass.
