A Kathak dance offering on the auspicious occasion of Saga Dawa on 14th June'22 in the presence of Dzongsar Jamyang Khyentse Rinpoche la at Buddhapada, Kalimpong.

The Heart Sūtra contains the essence of the Buddha's teachings. In Sanskrit, the "Heart Sutra" is called "Prajna Paramitahridaya," which translates as "the heart of the perfection of wisdom.” It describes the nature of emptiness, or sunyata. Heart Sutra primarily consists of a dialogue took place at Vulture's Peak near Rajagriha between the great bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara and Buddha’s disciple Shariputra. The words are inspired by the blessings of the Buddha, who remains absorbed in samadhi meditation until the end of the conversation. It is also based on Arya Avalokiteshvara’s deep reflection on the perfection of wisdom - the only absolute truth and the pure distillation of wisdom. The sutra ends with the mantra —gate gate paragate parasamgate bodhi svaha: go, go, go beyond, go utterly beyond and attain Buddhahood.

The profound Hridya Sutra recited in Sanskrit by Chinmay Kolhatkar with sound design and concept by Ms Maneesha Abhay.
