We are continuing our walking tour of Nassau with a stop at John Watling’s Rum Distillery. First off, the grounds and the old home are beautiful! We are greeted with a sample of pina colado made with their amber rum and I must say that was the beat I had ever had! And speaking of the best... our tour guide was fantastic!! He told us the history the family and the distillery with such personality!!! It was such a neat experience to see a working rum factory where everything is made and served only in the Bahamas. The tour is free and afterwards we go to the shop where we can buy a bottle or to the tasing room. We opted for a tasting of all four of the house made rums. They range from pale to the strong single barrel. And what was left we had mixed into drinks. Next stop.... the Fish Fry...
