छत्तीसगढ़ के जांजगीर चांपा जिले के अंतर्गत आने वाले शिवरीनारायण में मांगी पुन्नी के दिन बहुत ही बड़ा मेला का आयोजन होता है जो छत्तीसगढ़ का सबसे बड़ा मेला होता है और यह मेला 15 दिनों तक चलता है महाशिवरात्रि को अंत होता है
शिवरीनारायण छत्तीसगढ़ का गुप्त तीर्थ स्थल है और मान्यता के अनुसार राम वन गमन पर श्री राम ने शबरी के जूठे बेर यही खाए थे
छत्तीसगढ़ के अनेक क्षेत्रों में तीर्थ स्थल एवं गांवों के मंदिर देवालय में भी मेले का आयोजन होता है विशेष कहानी कथा रहस्य या विशेषता की वजह से वहां मेले का आयोजन प्रतिवर्ष होता है
मांझी पुन्नी के दिन ही छत्तीसगढ़ में बहुत स्थलों पर मेला आयोजन होता है

ऐसे ही छत्तीसगढ़ में कई छोटे-बड़े मेले का आयोजन होता है जो धान मिसाई बिक्री हो जाने के बाद विशेष रूप से ग्रामीण अंचल के लोग मेले में जाकर मेले का लुफ्त लेते हैं जिसमें विशेष रूप से अकाश झूला और आज के समय के कई प्रकार के नए-नए झूले का भी मजा लेते हैं खाने पीने में कई व्यंजन शामिल होते हैं
जैसे ओकराबरी पेठा बिन खजूर मेले के विशेष व्यंजन पहचान है कई जगह पर लोग मिलन स्थल पर ही रहकर कई दिनों तक आनंद लेते हैं और सिनेमा देखते हैं
ठीक उसी प्रकार शिवरीनारायण मेला भी छत्तीसगढ़ में प्रसिद्ध है
शिवरीनारायण महानदी के तट पर स्थित है और यहां पर महानदी जोक नदी शिवनाथ नदी का संगम है जिसके लिए लोग अस्थि विसर्जन के लिए भी पहुंचते हैं और यहां पर कई दर्शनीय स्थल है जैसे खरौद का लक्ष्मणेश्वर मंदिर चरण चूर्ण मंदिर जगन्नाथ मंदिर शिव मंदिर शबरी मंदिर

In Shivrinarayan, which comes under Janjgir Champa district of Chhattisgarh, a very big fair is organized on the day of Mangi Punni, which is the biggest fair of Chhattisgarh and this fair lasts for 15 days and ends on Mahashivratri.
Shivrinarayan is a secret pilgrimage site of Chhattisgarh and according to belief, Shri Ram had eaten the false berries of Shabari during Ram Van Gaman.
In many areas of Chhattisgarh, fairs are organized in places of pilgrimage and in temples and shrines of villages. Due to the special story, story, mystery or specialty, fairs are organized there every year.
