35. Smiths Autoglow mains electric alarm clock. A small orange light glows behind the dial. I actually have two of these, but the other one (for the other side of the bed!) is not wired up at present.

36. Kienzle travel alarm with 8 day movement and an unusual extra (24 hour) hour hand. Note the 24 hour numerals around the outer edge of the dial. The red hour hand points to those, as does the alarm hand. So the alarm is set to go off just before 10am, not 5 o'clock as it appears at first glance! This clock would never have been made available in the UK, it's too "Vorsprung Durch Technik"!

37. Metamec drum cased clock with a Kienzle ATO MAT type movement, which has an unusually fast swing.

38. JAZ Jazistor alarm clock. Made in France, this woud have been one of the first transistorised alarm clocks ever. It also has a day and date calendar.
