11Th January’23 is written in the letters of Gold in the history of SNBP Group of Institutions. The visit of the Percussion Maestro, Padmashree and Padmabhushan Ustad Zakir Hussain in its precincts shall be ever etched as an historic event in the School.

The Icon patiently got his photographs clicked with the students of Yerawada, Morwadi, Rahatani, Chikhli, Wagholi and Bavdhan. The Tabla Maestro appreciated the students presenting Padhanth, the Oral representation of Percussion.

The highlight of the visit was the Inauguration of the Open Air Theatre. The Open Air Theatre in SNBP School at Rahatani shall be called “ USTAD ZAKIR HUSSAIN RANG MANCH” The Inauguration happened amidst a somber and powerful Veda Chanting by the students of SNBP, Rahatani.

The School Management comprising Chairman Dr DK Bhosale, President Dr Vrishali Bhosale, Directors Ms Devayani Bhosale and Adv. Rutuja Bhosale presented the Tabla King, Puneri Pagadi, a beautiful Brass idol of Dagduseth Ganapathy and a 4 ft portrait of the Ustadji with his father. This Portrait was developed by Mr Manoj Muneswar, an Art Mentor of SNBP School, Rahatani. A pencil sketch of the Icon and his Father Ustad Allah Rakha, made by a student, Bhavesh Choudhury of Class 11of SNBP Rahatani was also presented to him

The King of Percussion’s eloquent responses to the students queries about his talim, his vision, his message got the audience spell bound.
