This is a quick video on how I solved the recurring problem of leaving the freezer door open. We have an upright freezer in the basement. Three times, we left the door open and twice lost a freezer full of food. Other than carelessness, the problem is, if you close the door with too much force, it bounces back open slightly, as you turn your back and walk away. The puny alarm doesn't start until about a minute of two after you have left the room, and cannot be heard anywhere outside the room. I decided that I would make sure the door was never left open again....even if it was painful. It's a simple fix that any DIY person can do with some cheap parts. Take a look
