I am performing sections of the Christmas Oratorio aria, "Mighty Lord and King All Glorious" My instrument: Scherzer Rotary Piccolo Trumpet. My mouthpiece: Wedge B10.5C Trumpet Mouthpiece. The Scherzer Rotary Piccolo trumpet is much smoother sounding and the transitions between notes is smoother compared to the piston valve piccolo trumpet. Yes it is hard to hold the horn at first but you will figure that out. I find it difficult to play eg. Brandenberg concerto no. 2, the M.
